The neck and throat are among the most vulnerable areas of a dog's body during a predator attack. DOGTECH Neck creates a physical protective barrier that helps prevent predators from establishing a dangerous grip and reduces the risk of serious injuries.
The collar is designed to complement DOGTECH protective vests, providing additional protection for hunting dogs working in areas with established wolf populations.
Neck and throat protection. Integrated Wolf Steel elements help protect the dog's neck against predator bites and potentially fatal injuries.
Swedish-made Wolf Steel. Stainless spring steel provides a durable physical barrier designed to resist predator bites.
Freedom of movement. The collar is designed to allow the dog to move its head and neck freely during active hunting, including in dense vegetation.
Complementary protection. Works alongside DOGTECH protective vests to provide more comprehensive coverage.
Compatible protection system. Particularly recommended in combination with DOGTECH One Gen2 equipped with Wolf Steel elements protecting the back and thighs.
Designed for demanding hunting conditions. Suitable for hunting dogs working in forests and areas where wolf encounters may occur.
DOGTECH refers to findings from the LIFE WILD WOLF project, conducted in cooperation with FACE and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).
According to the manufacturer, 100% of dogs wearing protective vests equipped with Wolf Steel survived the documented wolf attacks with only minor injuries, while unprotected dogs in comparable environments were killed.
The protective vests and collars involved in the Swedish studies incorporated the same Wolf Steel construction used in DOGTECH Neck.
These findings demonstrate the potential benefits of appropriate protective equipment. However, the reported survival rate relates to the documented cases and does not guarantee protection in every wolf attack.

Product type: Protective collar for hunting dogs
Protective material: Stainless spring steel (Wolf Steel)
Purpose: Additional neck and throat protection against wolf attacks
Available sizes: S, M, L
Recommended combination: DOGTECH protective vest equipped with Wolf Steel elements
For effective protection, the collar must fit correctly and cover the vulnerable neck area without restricting movement.
Measure your dog's neck circumference at the position where the protective collar will be worn.
| Size | Neck circumference |
|---|---|
| S (Small) | 26–30 cm |
| M (Medium) | 30–40 cm |
| L (Large) | 40–50 cm |
The collar should fit securely without being excessively tight or interfering with the dog's breathing or natural head movements.
